Paul McCartney is one of the premier nostalgic acts of the rock and roll world. The songs he sang during half time (Drive My Car, Get Back, Hey Jude, and Live and Let Die) while classics all, they really highlight the fact that he has done nothing since the early ‘70s. Other than Yoko, Paul misses John Lennon tremendously.

An article in the Opinion pages of today's Los Angeles Times mentioned that McCartney's presence was proof of the sanitized -- and out of touch -- nature of the halftime show. After all, his last song in the Top Ten was twenty years ago, and it was "Spies Like Us."
