My Predictions for the 2005 Baseball Season

Out of the roughly 1,250,000 young men who graduate form American high schools every year, no more than 500 are signed to professional contracts. The chances are against your getting any contract at all, on the very lowest level, anywhere in organized baseball run about 2,500 to 1.
