Thoughts About God's Infinite Being

Just read Julius Lester's The Autobiography of God this week; I'm apparently on a "female rabbi novel" kick right now, having also recently completed this. Lester's novel is about a mid-life rabbi who discovers that she may have some very important (and strange) tasks to perform in her life, and it was a good read for someone who's married to a rabbi. Probably even if you're not.

Lester brings up two ideas in his novel that I wanted to briefly share, perhaps to elicit your thoughts...
1. God created man and woman in God's own image. We are capable of evil; is God, then, capable of evil?

2. God is infinite. Does that mean that God encompasses all good and evil? If not, how can God truly be infinite?
One more book recommendation -- an "oldie but goodie," as they say. Jeremy Leven's Satan: His Psychotherapy and Cure by the Unfortunate Dr. Kassler, J.S.P.S is a riotous novel in which Satan contacts a psychotherapist and then goes through analysis, dicussing such topics as his bad relationship with God, the whole thing with Job, and the reasons for his rebellion against Heaven.

P.S. None of the links here are self-serving kick-back type links; I get no money if you order the books. For that matter, feel free not to buy from Amazon even if you do want to buy the books.
